The Project

Growing up, there were two Pokemon games which I believed encaptured best the experience I wanted Pokemon to be. "Pokemon Snap" and the "Pokemon Ranger" Series. They have now, even with gen 10 on the horizon been the only games that really allowed us to encounter Pokemon in their natural environment. They had both the excitement of actually tracking and searching for Pokemon in the wild together with the joy of seeing these creatures interact with each other and their surroundings.

My goal is to replicate this experience

In "My Pokemon Zoo" your task will be to explore a tropical island full of beaches, cliffs, caves, swamps and rivers to catch them all. Finding their hideouts, knowing their habits and the times of day when they are active will be of vital importance.

I have tried my best to include unique criteria and interactions for each Pokemon:

Make a Voltorb levitate to be able to catch it before it explodes, Dig up Oddish from the soil during daytime or catch them ambling around at night. Gain the trust of Kangaskhan's young before you engage the mother. Use calming music to soothe the Mankey pelting you with acorns...

In Pokemon Zoo, a new task is always just around the corner!

Careful! Falling Rocks at the cliffside!

Emphasis has been placed on natural environments and not overcrowding areas with wildlife
